About Me

I was born in Maidstone, Kent and went on to study Graphic Design in Bristol. After 3 years of hard work and a lot of fun I qualified and worked in the Graphic Design industry for more than 20 years.

Along the way I have honed my creative skills in soft furnishing and cookery, but it was my design work that brought me to Lancashire and the beautiful Ribble Valley in 2004.

After redundancy in 2009 I decided it was time to change direction. It was a fairly logical step to fuse my passion for food, cooking and creativity and focus my energy on cake making and design. I enrolled myself onto 'Cake Decorating' and 'Sugar Flowers' courses and after completing 3 terms I knew this was the right direction.

I have now established my cake business, Champagne Cakes which I run from home in Longridge and I'm enjoying every minute and every new cake challenge.

My Ingredients

Only the best ingredients go into my cakes, including local freerange eggs, organic flour and the very best Madagascan vanilla.
